 Story Reported by Jennifer Larry

As part of the 6th Anniversary Celebration of Rotary Club; Airport City, they organised a walk from Christ the King Parish Church to the Kawukudi Roundabout to unveil new signage near the roundabout.

It was a fulfilling day for the members who were excited about their 6 years of being a chartered club.

This was also part of their Social Responsibility Projects towards their theme for the year; Rotary opens opportunities.

All 2000 rotary clubs around the world had to find ways to open opportunities for other people and connect to the society in which they live.

Mounting a new Signage near the Kaukudi Roundabout

Speaking to the  Current   President; (R.P) Anita Sobreh she said " I am so happy to be the one spearheading this project. Six years as a club hasn't been easy and as a way of sharing in our joy and celebrate our six years, we decided to clean, weed around the area then finally unveil the new signage.

According to her, it is not just normal signage that we always see. Considering the situations we find ourselves, it is only proper to have some information about the Coronavirus and precautionary measures that would protect the public.

She also said it was essential to change the look of the roundabout and also to give some publicity to the Club which would help connect with the users of the road, the passersby and the world.

They had to do curbside painting, planting of shrubs and trimming of the grass for the beautification of the neighbourhood.
